Roosevelt Island is located in the East River between the boroughs of Manhattan and Queens. The Roosevelt Island Tramway connects Manhattan and Roosevelt Island. It runs individual railcars from 59th Street and Second Avenue in Manhattan to Tramway Plaza on Roosevelt Island and vice versa. The tram has a maximum capacity of 109 passengers and an attendant. These passengers include tourists, visitors, and residents.
